What does my child need to wear for the concert

students should wear dress shoes No gym shoes, sneakers or tennis shoes,
black dress pants (Khaki or Cargo pants count as dress) (NO JEANS
PLEASE!) , White button up shirt. No polo or T-shirts please. These are the
same clothes required for the chorus, as many students are in both; this
will make the transition quicker.

How much should my child practice

Every day. The most important part of practice is consistency. The average
should be about a half hour a day. But it is far better to practice 10 min
one day and 15 the next etc than to skip a day all together because you
dont have a half hour. You can even break it up. Two 15 min practice
sections for example.

What can I do with that instrument that no one plays anymore

Well, there are lotts of things to do with an old instrument. You can sell
it, put it on E bay or craigs list. OR YOU CAN DONATE IT TO YOUR SCHOOL.
I always have a few people every year who can not for one reason or another
play in the band do to not having an instrument. I would love to someday
have enough instruments in our inventory that EVERY student who wishes to
play in the band will have that opportunity. It is also a great tax
deduction. If you are interested in helping us out please send me an e mail
so I can give you more details.
