Homework

Daily practice of speech and language skills is the best way to achieve your
child's goals. If your child's program includes specific homework, please
follow the instructions, complete and return for their next speech day.
If your child is working to improve articulation, please make sure to model
correct speech and take a few minutes each day, perhaps driving home or at
the dinner table to practice at their current level (ie, words, conversation,
etc.) Your reinforcement at home will be the key to their success in the
program.

As the current schedule is a three week on/one week off model, your child
will not receive direct services for that fourth week. During this week,
please make sure to review any previous worksheets or word lists for
articulation improvement. If your child is working toward language goals,
reading and discussing with predictions is a great way to continue to build
comprehension skills. Even watching TV and making predictions at the
commercial is a great way to improve language.

If your child has a Star workbook for reading and spelling, please complete
pages as assigned. Their frequent practice is an integral part of their
literacy improvement program.
