 Hi.  Welcome to "We've Been Published" 2008! 

Sam has published a wonderful story about the last human on earth with a 
surprise ending.  I hope you enjoy his short story as much as I did.

    In addition, Shelby Tibbetts and Kwesie LaFond had poems published in 
the High School Writer-Junior High edition.  We made a bulletin board here 
at Walnut Street School to celebrate the accomplishments. 


                         BEST FRIENDS

           Friendship is a wonderful thing
           As countless laughs go from them to me.
           Even though I get "out of hand,"
           They don't care 'cause they"re my friend.

           Trustworthy, fun, and sometimes boring
           That's my friends in all their glory.
           No matter what it is we do,
           We're still best frineds, and that is true!

           My friends are just like family to me.
           They love me like a sister, you see.
           We spend a lot of time together,
           I hope we end up friends forever.

           Now as I'm remembering all these things
           and all the memories that they bring
           A frined should be someone you can trust
           and that will tell you....Friendship's a must.

             You’re the Bomb
             and you got it “going on”
             Sometimes we get mad.
             But in the end, we both are
             glad.
             Just like Claude and Dad.
             You’re a sister, you’re a 
             friend.
             Not last, not least,
             You’re a mother not like
             any other.
             There is something special,
             Between me and you,
             I hope you already know
             that,
