Signorina Maglia graduated from Rutgers University in New Brunswick. She
completed her Bachelor's Degree there in English, Italian, and Art History.
She continued at the Rutgers Graduate School of Education where she received
her Master's Degree. This is her third year teaching in East Brunswick and
she is very enthusiastic to be part of such a wonderful school
district.
During her time at Rutgers, Signorina Maglia participated in a study abroad
program to Urbino, Italy and has traveled to Italy multiple times. It is her
goal to bring her experiences with travel into the classroom to enrich
students' understanding of the language and culture.
In her spare time, Signorina Maglia likes studying anthropology, cultures,
reading, traveling, spending time with her family and friends, and shopping.
It is my goal to teach my students about the Italian culture and how to
communicate using the Italian language. I believe in using authentic learning
materials to create natural settings which allow students to practice and use
Italian in practical way. I want my students to acquire a useful, every day
understanding of the language and culture in a comfortable environment while
giving them the opportunity to make personal connections with the subject so
that they can extend the knowledge they acquire in my class to all aspects of
their lives.
