This tip comes from Family Time Reading Fun by Linda Clinard Welcome to Kindergarten and First GradeI discovered last year that our new Reading Street series providers plenty of structure and support for our beginning readers. However, it is immperative that the Basic Skills students to practice reading skills every day even Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Ten or fifteen minutes of practice is plenty. This "practice" should be FUN. I will be providing suggestions for additional "homefun activities" for you. Weekend practice should NOT be viewed as "homework" but rather as "homefun!"
