Lenape Postage stamp due Friday. see below for information
New Jersey Lenape Indians Postage Stamp Project
You have been hired by the United States Postal Service to design a postage
stamp depicting the Lenape Indians. You will use all that you have learned
about these people to create a postage stamp to honor them. Your stamp can
depict any of the topics that we covered about the Lenape. For example where
they lived, how they survived in the outdoors, what they did during the many
seasons, and family life are just a few ideas to think about.
Using the blank pattern provided, your stamp must include USA and 44 cents.
Take a look at some real postage stamps so that you have an idea of what a
stamp should look like. All drawings must be hand drawn. No computer copies
or photocopies. Nothing can be glued or taped to your stamp. Your stamp must
be colorful and use the entire pattern provided. All work must be done
neatly. Finished stamps will be displayed in the hallway.
The postage stamp is due on Friday December 16th.

2. Where does the energy to move the vehicle come from?
3. How did you store the potential energy in the rubber band?
Explain in detail.
4. Explain in detail what happens when the stored energy in the rubber
band is released.
5. How does the number of turns of the rear wheels of your vehicle affect
the distance traveled?
6. Why was it important to wind the rear wheels counterclockwise in
this experiment?
7. The maximum number of winds that we could do was 8. What do you
think would happen if you wound the rear wheels 12 times. Assuming
that the rubber band will not break.
8. What if you used the front wheels to wind the rubber band and the
rear wheel axel did not turn. Do you think you would get the same
results? Explain.

Your job is to choose any four of the eight questions to answer. All answers
must be in complete sentences on another sheet of paper. (Use RATS to
answer each question) Please indicate which questions you chose to answer.
Refer back to your groups collected data from the experiment to help you

This is due on Thursday November 17th. 1 Letter grade lower if it is late.
1. What did you observe when testing various loads (blocks)?
2. How did the vehicle move when it was loaded with two blocks?
3. How did the motion of the vehicle change when you removed one block?
How did it change when you removed both blocks?
4. What do you think would happen if you added a third or fourth block to
the vehicle?
5. When the vehicle carried no blocks, what was left to influence the motion?
6. What can you conclude about the effects of load (the blocks) on a
vehicle’s motion?
7. What situations at home or in school may be similar to what you tested
with your vehicle?
