Does the teacher require all tests to be signed?

Please sign all tests so that we can work as a team regarding your child's
progress.

Is it necessary to monitor the student's reading log each night?

Reading is the key to your child's academic success.  It is important that
parents are involved in reinforcing strategies learned in class.

Why is there a number grid on my child's desk?

Though there is a number grid to assist your child in basic addition and
subtraction, students are required to practice these facts as the number grid
will be removed in January.

What happens if my child forgets a homework assignment?

Everyone forgets things at one time or another.  I will notify you if this
becomes a habit and the student is not accepting his or her responsibility.

How can I help my child become a better writer?

Please encourage your child to answer all homework questions in a full
sentence. Try to restate the question in the response. You can work on the
language arts website suggested on the LINKS portion of my teacher page.
