                         Welcome to Sixth Grade Science !
As a 6th grader, you will explore several areas of science. We will 
begin by learning Science Skills, the Metric System, and then move on to
Matter, Physical Science and Ecology. During the year you will be actively
involved in the exploration of science through hands-on labs. By June 
you will be more than ready for the challenges of 7th grade science.


What supplies do I need for science class each day?
     1. 1 ½ inch  - 3 ring binder dedicated to science class only

     2. 1 inch (no bigger!) – 3 ring binder (with firm cover, not floppy) for
           your lab notebook, this stays in the science classroom at all 
times

     3. Two – 2 pocket folders  with holes to fit inside your 3-ring binder
            One folder is for homework only
            One folder is for quizzes, tests, projects and study guides

     4.  25 sheets of white lined paper with holes

     5. Pencil case pouch in binder
            Several #2 pencils and erasers, pen ( black or blue ink only)
            Calculator ( it needs to only multiply and divide)
            Metric ruler
            Yellow highlighter

     6. Paper bag to cover science book- NO BOOK SOCKS ARE ALLOWED.
