I returned to teaching last year after being home with my two sons for the
last 12 years. I received a Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering
from Lehigh University. After working as an engineer for several years, I
returned to school and earned a Masters degree in Math Education from
Rutgers. When I’m not in the classroom, you will find me on an athletic
field with one of my sons, at home facilitating the homework process or
walking our Labrador Retriever throughout our neighborhood.
I love mathematics and am very eager to share this passion with your
children. As a parent in the district, I am very familiar with the Everyday
Math curriculum and am encouraged that our district is always looking
for better ways to help children develop their understanding of math. My
goal is for every student to have a positive experience in the math
classroom. I will provide a comfortable and encouraging environment with
many opportunities for hands-on learning. I will encourage students to
discuss the problems they are solving with one another. By learning from
and helping peers, they will reinforce the concepts that are being
developed.
