Questions??

  1. Why do I need an Agenda Binder?
  2. How do I organize myself?
  3. Why didn't I get my Math Money when I did a Math Depot project?
  4. Why do I have to do Quiz/Test Corrections?

Why do I need an Agenda Binder?

The reason we require an Agenda Binder is organization. It is
the one place
where you will keep your agenda (which you need in every class),
your pencil
case (which you will need in every class), and a folder (a place
to put
papers from every class). You are less likely to forget supplies
or lose
them if they are all in one place. :)

How do I organize myself?

First, tape a copy of your schedule to the inside of your
locker. Highlight
your morning (before lunch) and your afternoon (after lunch)
classes in
DIFFERENT highlighter colors. Determine how you want to be
organized. Do
you want 5-6 different binders, or do you want one for the
morning and one
for the afternoon? Either way, you MUST maintain an Agenda
Binder no matter
what. :)

Why didn't I get my Math Money when I did a Math Depot project?

Students will only receive Math Money when they have finished the
project
completely showing all work. Work must be done in pencil.
Questions must
be answered completely and be supported by the information
given. Simply
stating an opinion will not be enough to earn you your money.
Keep up the
good work!

Why do I have to do Quiz/Test Corrections?

The purpose of the corrections is for you to learn from your
mistakes and then to apply the correct procedures in order to
correctly complete the problems. Simply writing down the correct
answer on a piece of paper does not generate understanding. It
is only through reworking the process and comprehending where you
went wrong that future mistakes will be avoided. I do not
believe in busy work and this exercise has a legitimate purpose
which will benefit you in the long run. :)
