Drawing Assignments: Second Quarter
Art Exploration Grade 7
SKETCH # 10: Draw bottles and cans- have the cans crunched up for lots of
detail and contrast to the bottles' smoothness. (week of Monday 11/17)
SKETCH # 11: Cut out a photo into small pieces, rearrange the photo in some
other order, draw it. (week of Monday 11/24)
SKETCH # 12: Draw your favorite cartoon character doing something that you
do everyday. (week of Monday 12/1)
SKETCH # 13: Draw the interior of your room and what's in it- from wherever
you're sitting: on the floor, up on a bed, from the ceiling looking down.
(week of Monday 12/8)
SKETCH # 14: You have made a startling discovery while scuba diving! Draw
what it is! (week of Monday 12/15)
**** Sketchbooks will be collected this week (Week of Monday 12/15) for
grading. Please hand in your sketchbook during class with sketches 10-14
completed. ****
SKETCH # 15: Draw a coat, jacket, or sweater hanging on a hanger from
observation. (week of Monday 1/5)
SKETCH # 16: Draw your hand holding a variety of objects. (week of Monday
1/12)
SKETCH # 17: Draw an imaginary place- remember to show rich details. (week
of Monday 1/19)
SKETCH # 18: Make a drawing that says something about the environment. (week
of Monday 1/26)
SKETCH # 19: Make a detailed drawing of five square inches of a dollar bill.
(week of Monday 2/2)

grading. Please hand in your sketchbook during class with sketches 15-19
