Oaxacan wood carvings are whimsical and enchanting folk art figures from tiny villages in the Oaxacan Valley of Southern Mexico. Period 2 Art Exploration 6th graders, created their own imaginative and brilliantly colored figures using model magic. Just like the local artist of the Oaxaca Valley the students used fantasy and imagination in their painting to make the animals appear more alive.
