I have been teaching here at Hammarskjold for four years. I currently teach
sections of both 6th grade ILA and 6th grade Verbal GATE. I have both a
Bachelor's degree and a Master's degree in my field. It is of the utmost
importance to me that I continue to learn and grow as a teacher, so I
frequently read the latest educational and cognitive research. In addition,
I bring in many aspects of professional development to the classroom
experience. This leads to a dynamic learning environment tailored to your
child's individual needs as a learner.
This year, our mission is to grow. We will stretch and challenge ourselves
as readers and writers. Through this process, we will become better
communicators. It is also our goal to become better human beings by
continuously testing and improving our character. In this way, we will all
become important and beneficial components of the Hammarskjold community and
the outside world.
