As you are getting used to a new school year, the students in Argentina are looking forward to the end of their school year. How can that be? Well, as we are moving into fall, they are moving into spring. Spring begins on September 21 and is a joyous day. In fact, that is the day of "El dia del estudiante". Yes, students' day. When I was your age, we used to have a float parade downtown. Now it's more common for kids to skip school and go outdoors. Going camping is a popular way of celebrating, too. And students plan for weeks. But it is not always warm! I remember always being cold then. But it was so exciting knowing school was winding down. What do you think of this holiday?
