Why does ILA take up two periods?
It takes up two periods because it covers both reading and writing.
--------------------------------------
What are the rules for our classroom?
• Respect others.
• Take care of your school.
• Be on time.
• Have all materials ready to use when the bell rings.
• Keep your hands, feet, and objects to yourself.
--------------------------------------
What are your expectations of me?
Be kind, be respectful, and do your best.
--------------------------------------
What do I do if I am absent?
If you are absent, your study buddy will record your missed work and leave a packet for you in
the missed work folder. If for some reason your buddy does not leave you a make up packet, YOU
are responsible for coming to me and finding out what you missed. IT IS ALSO UP TO YOU TO SHOW
ME YOU MADE UP THE ASSIGNMENTS. IF YOU DO NOT, IT WILL STAY IN MY GRADE BOOK AS A '0'.
--------------------------------------
What do I do if I forget to write down my homework?
Call your study buddy or check this web site. You are expected to have completed your homework the
next day regardless of whether you copied the assignment down.
--------------------------------------
How will I be graded?
Writing 35%
Reading 35%
Word Work 15%
Homework 10%
Participation 5%
