Hello and Welcome to the 7th Grade! I am happy and excited to be your 7th
Grade ILA teacher this year. I am looking forward to getting to know all of
you better.
I am married and have two terrific sons, both have been through the
East Brunswick School System. I have lived through the wonderful middle school
experience twice as a parent and I'm happy to inform you that I
survived.
I am looking forward to an exciting fun year.

Be Prepared
Class participation is vital to learning, and if you are unprepared for
class, you will place yourself and your classmates at a disadvantage.
Everyday, you will need your folder, writing implements, and independent
reading book.
Respect
Respect is the key to any relationship. Your teacher, substitute
teachers, peers, and guests will treat you with respect in this class. I
intend to create a comfortable classroom environment for all. No one is above
common courtesy, and any level of disrespect will not bode well for your
success in this class! Some examples of disrespectful behavior would be:
• Talking when someone else is trying to be heard. Please raise your hand if
you wish to participate.
• Making negative or derogatory comments/gestures to a classmate or teacher.
• Misbehaving for a substitute teacher or guest.
• Vandalizing the classroom environment.
Lying and Dishonesty are unacceptable. Protect your character and integrity by
being honest and forthright.
Be Responsible.
If you happen to be absent from class, it is your responsibility to get
any assignments and notes, as well as make up any tests or quizzes missed.
• There is an “Assignment Box” located in the classroom. When you return from
an absence, check this box for any missed class work and homework.
• Students need to see me to schedule a make up date for quizzes or tests.
