Tests = 45%
Projects & Quizzes = 30%
Homework = 15%
Participation = 10%

What is your homework policy?
My homework policy is simple. Anytime I give homework it is for a purpose
such as to reinforce what was covered in class or to prepare you for the
next day. Therefore, it is very important that it is completed on time,
always. Homework not completed on time will still need to be turned in but
for a grade of zero. Assignments not handed in will result in an incomplete.

If I am absent and miss an assignment what do I do?
My policy is that you have the number of days you were absent to turn in
missed work. For example if you were absent on Monday and return to school
on Tuesday you were absent for one day and you must hand in your assignments
on Wednesday.
We are going to establish a buddy system during the first few days of class.
Using this system and this website you should be able, unless you are
extremely ill, keep up with assignments and hand them in on the first day
you return to school. This would be to your benefit because you will keep up
your workload rather than adding to it upon your return to school.
If you are absent call a buddy, you will have two, to find out the
assignment. Then, your parent can either pick up the necessary materials
from school or you can download any worksheets you might need from this
website.

What is the buddy system?
During the first days of school you will be asked to get the phone number
and email address of two classmates who will be your buddy. If you are
absent and physically able to do work from home you can call your buddy and
get the missed assingments.

If I am absent and miss a test what do I do?
I will try and announce tests one week in advance. If you are sick on the
day of a test we can work together to arrange for a time for you to make-up
the test either during study, during our next class period or after school.

When can I come and see you if I need additional help?
If you need additional help I will be available during study/lunch and after
school by appointment. Just ask and we can work out a day to stay after :)

What if I am absent the day a project is due?
If you are absent the day a project is due you should hand it in on your
first day back in school. There are, of course, exceptions if you were
extremely ill or have other extenuating circumstances. If that is the case
see me and we can work out an arrangement.
