Why is ILA two periods?

ILA is two periods because it covers both reading and writing. In ILA we
also work on such literacy skills as speaking, spelling, and vocabulary.

What is the homework policy?

Homework is assigned daily; it may consist of reading, writing, word work,
or a combination. Students are expected to complete homework, and will need
to stay after school if homework is not complete. Students who are absent
are expected to make up the homework within one day of returning to school.
For extended sickness or absences, the students and I will work out a make-
up plan.
