Our Verbal GATE festival
will be June 5 and 6th at Barnes and Noble.

us with our Barnes and Noble Verbal GATE festival. 
Test tomorrow on Act IV and V. Study quotes, fill in the blank quote, notes.
For Friday, Complete the scrapbook. Title page and back cover. Bring it to
school on Friday for our Gallery Walk.
Create a name card for the B/N festival. Write your first and last name and
decorate the card.
Bring in anything for the Modern Day J.C. presentation rehearsal for tomorrow.
Presentations will be June 7,Thursday.

May 23 -audition for the talent station of our Barnes and Noble night.  If you
are interesting in auditioning, come to Mrs. Ingargiola's room after school.

June 5+6 Barnes and Noble night for Verbal GATE students. 

June 9th-EBEF is sponsoring a book fair at Barnes and Noble on Sat. June 9th.
Come read your poetry book or scrapbook.  Bring your friends to hear you read.

Tomorrow, your explanatory essay is due; double space 12 font.Don't forget a
heading.
Create flashcards for your Act IV vocabulary. Due tomorrow.
Thursday, your recipe picture is due in your scrapbook-page 14.

Scrapbook p. 12 due tomorrow. One tradition.
Test now on Monday change of date, Act III. Memorize Antony's speech-for the
fill in the blank,
p. 121 lines 82-88. That will be the only memorizing for the act.
Test will be multiple choice, interpretation of quotes,and  vocabulary for Act
III.
For Friday- do the  Vocabulary for Act IV general vocabulary and scenes 1+2.

May 8
*Scrapbook p. 12 due Thursday. One family tradition and explain it.
See instruction packet.
*Create flash cards for Act III vocabulary for tomorrow.
*Revision of choice essay due tomorrow.(from NJASK practice).
Test on Friday, Act III.

May 7
Test tomorrow Act II open-ended and interpretation of quotes.
Scrapbook p. 11 due tomorrow for the Gallery Walk.
Revise your choice of essay from the NJASK explanatory for Wednesday.
Test on Friday Act III-fill in the blank quotes, vocabulary, and multiple choice.

May 4
Test on Act II will be Monday.  Vocabulary and fill in the blank quotes.
Tuesday-open-ended and interpretation of quotes.
Scrapbook page 11 is due on Tuesday. Traditions, customs, photos.

May 3
Test on Act II will be Monday, May 7th. Vocabulary and fill in the blank quotes.
Tuesday, open ended and interpretation of quotes.
Also for Tuesday, scrapbook p. 11-traditions, customs, photos.  

May 2
Test on Act II will be Monday, May 7th. Vocabulary and fill in the blank quotes.
 Memorize quotes 6,16,5,3. Spelling counts on the vocabulary. 
Tuesday,May 8th- quotes and open ended.


April 25
Scrapbook picture of family will be due Friday.  Bring it in on Monday for me
to see.
Bring in blank index cards to create flash cards for the vocabulary for Act II.
Writer's notebook and your IR book must be in class on both Thursday and Friday.

Look over the packets and hand-outs that I gave you for review of NJASK.
Look over the graphic organizer for persuasive writing and your persuasive
words.  Look over the suggested ways to write the explanatory prompts and open
ended writings. Be sure to look over your transition sheet.  This is very
important. 
I know that you will do very well.  Read the directions and try your very
best.  That is all anyone can do.  I have full confidence in all of you.
Go with the right foot!!!!!!



April 24
Scrapbook p. 9 is due tomorrow for our Gallery Walk.
Scrapbook p. 10 is due Friday, but I will look at it on Monday. Explain the
family photo in a little blurb on the scrapbook page.

April 20
Rough copy of the rhyming poem for the scrapbook is due Monday. 6 stanzas and
a quatrain. P.9 of the scrapbook page.
Persuasive graphic organizer and 5 persuasive words quiz is Monday.


April 19
*For Monday ( see p. 9 of the scrapbook directions page).  Write a rough copy
poem for someone in your family.  Model it after "Yes, It Was My Grandmother"
poem, but your poem is to rhyme. It should be a rhyming quatrain with 6 stanzas.  
*For tomorrow- Julius Caesar packet p. 15+16 vocabulary pages.

April 17
Test tomorrow- Study for the Act I test.  Vocabulary, notes, quotes. Spelling
counts for the vocabulary.
Scrapbook p. 8 memorabilia page due Thursday.

April 16
Period 9/10
Letter to Miss Alya Wojcik-apologize for your behavior and explain proper
behavior to her.
All Classes:
Study for your test on Wednesday-Act I. Study quotes, vocabulary, and notes.
For tomorrow-read Act II scene 1.  I will give you the vocabulary words for
the general vocabulary and scene 1.
Scrapbook- memorabilia collection page 8- due Thursday.
