I would like to wish all of you a happy and healthy New Year.

We have finished our desert unit.  Stop by the library to see all of the 
desert dioramas.  The students did a great job.  We will be starting our 
ocean habitat unit.

We have finished our health unit on Nutrition and will be doing a unit on 
Conflict Resolution.

We have finished our holidiay traditions unit in social studies and will be 
studing Martin Luther King and other famous Americans.

January 13th we will start using the IXL math website for math homework on 
Wednesdays and Thursdays.  For those that could not attend the parent 
workshop on Dec. 17th, the handout we gave the parents was sent home to you.  
Your password and username will be e-mailed to you from IXL math.  If you 
have anay questions, please let me know.

Please be sure that your child has his homework folder, spiral homework 
notebook, and purple homework notebook each day when they come to school.  We 
use these things first thing in the morning.
