What should I do if my child is struggling with homework?

If your child is struggling with a homework assignment and has put effort
forth, put the assignment aside and please write me a note. I do not want
your child to be discouraged with a question. I will be happy to work with
the child, so that the concept is understood.

How can I encourage reading at home?

Children look to their parents as role models and therefore, you sharing a
love of reading will help your child understand the importance of reading.
Have a routine in that reading is done nightly as part of your evening
routine. Be sure to help your child find reading material that accomodates
their interests to increase your child's attention to reading.
