Do the folders come home every week?

Yes, the folders with their work from the week should come home
EVERY Friday . The only exception may be when we have a short week and there are few papers. I have them count their papers on Friday and bring the
folder home.It
must be returned on Monday, signed on the back indicating to me
that you have seen it. This is essential to maintaining lines of communication
beteeen home and school.

Can I bring a snack on 1/2 days?

Yes, but the emphasis here is SNACK, not a four course meal. The
snacks
should be healthy- no chips, popcorn, nuts or junk food.

When is gym?

Thurs. 9:40 and on Friday 1:20 .Remember you may wear gym
clothes under your
uniform or change for gym. ( for hygiene reasons changing is the
better option and you are allowed to bring a deodorant or small
powder to
freshen yourself) Please label all clothing. Under the new trimester report cards being
unprepared for gym repeatedly will lower your grade, it is no longer just
pass/fail.

When can I speak with the teacher if there is a problem?

You can call the office and leave a message with Mrs. Speronza, I

Can we celebrate birthdays?

Of course, but please keep in mind our nutrition and wellness
policy when sending in a treat for a birthday. The birthday person will be
allowed to distribute their snack at lunchtime only. However, no huge
birthday blow out celebrations or parties will be permitted.

Also, you may not send your child to school with outside birthday celebration invites.
The only exception to this if EVERY SINGLE CHILD IN CLASS IS INVITED! Being excluded is hurtful and there is no place for it in my classroom.
