I attended Rutgers College for 2 years majoring in Political Science with an
intention of going to Law School, however I had a change of heart and went
into the banking industry for many years.
I graduated Summa Cum Laude from Kean University with a double major in
History and Elementary Education. I am an NTE certified teacher for the
state of New Jersey.I am actively maintaining my license by doing 100 hours
of continuing education over a five year period. I firmly believe that
learning is a lifelong process and I am always looking to stay fresh and
current with teaching trends.
I am married with three children. I have twins, a boy and a girl. My son
graduated from Seton Hall and currently works in Hoboken. His twin sister
went to ESU in Penn. for college and is now a certified Early
Childhood/Elementary school teacher. She is currently hard at work on her
advanced degree in Special Education. My youngest child , a girl, also
graduated from Seton Hall University and is very successful working as a
financial analyst. This past year I got a new baby, my pet dog. Dallas is a
playful year old puggle.
My husband Mark and I love to travel. We have taken many cruises to
interesting places. We are also hoping to go back to Europe next summer to
celebrate our 35th wedding anniversary.
One of my new hobbies has become an obsession this past year as I resolved to
become more physically fit by
joining the Y. I now love to work out to ZUMBA and kick boxing. In my free
time (not nearly enough of that) I am a voracious reader, especially
mysteries. I am also a big sports fan. My favorite is....hockey. I love the
Devils. Yes, Catholic school teachers are allowed to LOVE DEVILS. I also
enjoy watching soccer, especially since I put in a lot of years being a
soccer mom. I always come out to as many HSS games as I can....old habits
die hard. I enjoy baseball, despite the fact that my team is the METS! (I
know, I know they have been terrible the last couple of years. ) I am also
a GIANTS fan, ( and no my dog is not named Dallas because I'm a Cowboys fan)
Lets go ELI, we need to go to the Super Bowl.
Hopefully now you know something about me....well actually now you probably
know more about me than you really cared to know LOL.
To have a wonderful year of academic, spiritual and social growth. I want
every child to understand that they were created in God's image and that
therefore they are all special and deserving of respect.
