Mrs. Cunningham Grade 6

In Religion classes, we are continuing to follow the journey of the Israelities, focusing on the role and contributions of the judges. We will begin our own Lenten journeys with a special Ash Wednesday Liturgy.

In Reading, we are completing our examination of non-fiction and informational texts. Students will continue to work on expository writing. We are realizing that a good piece of expository writing does not show personal feelings, but just reports facts in an interesting way.

Students continue to emphasize problem solving in Math, especially those involving fractions, including renaming fractions as decimals. Students will soon plunge into Geometry.

After completing our journey through ancient China in our Social Studies classes, we will begin the exploration of the geography and achievements of ancient India and Persia.
