During the school year I may find that there are several children on a
particular grade level who need assistance or support in the same area.
These areas include building confidence, coping with stress, dealing with
changing family situations, or improving communication and social skills.
Oftentimes children are not only able to help each other but also they find
great support when they realize that others have the same concerns as they
do. At these times I may gather these children together to meet as a group. I
coordinate times with the teachers involved so the children do not miss
direct instruction time. Any child included in a group will have a signed
parent permission slip.
