Dear Parents,
Please be sure to check your child's Lawrence Brook School homework
folder and homework planner for nightly assignments and important notices.
Students should be reading for a minimum of 20 minutes each night. In
addition to reading, homework assignments in reading, word work, and math
will be assigned nightly.
-Math homework consists of Home Links and worksheets. Students are also
expected to review basic facts (addition and subtraction) nightly to develop
fluency.
-Reading homework consists of reading logs, worksheets, and letters in their
Reader's Response Journals. Journals will be collected weekly on your
child's assigned day.
-Word study homework consists of cutting out and preparing word sorts on the
first day of each new week, reviewing and practicing word sorts, ABC order,
and grammar review sheets.
-Science and Social Studies homework will be assigned occasionally.
Students must be responsible for their assignments and return all worksheets
and notebooks to class the folllowing day.
