Dear Parents,
Please be sure to check your child's Lawrence Brook School "Take Home"
folder and homework planner for nightly assignments and important notices.
Your third grader should be reading every night for at least 20 minutes in
order to improve comprehension, active reading strategies reviewed in class,
and vocabulary. Reading logs must be completed nightly.
In addition, the children should be studying and working towards mastery of
basic addition and subtraction facts. Fact triangles are a great way to
develop proficiency with addition and subtraction (and later on in the year--
multiplication and division).
Thank you for your cooperation and support!
