In ILA- Please make sure your child hands in their reading response notebook on their assigned day.  They are to write me two letters during the week which will be graded using the rubric at the back of the notebook.  Make sure your student is also reading for 30 minutes every evening and has three books with him in class. 

 

**********We started the spelling program, WORDS THEIR WAY, in our class today, Monday, Sept. 21.  Your child was tested to see his/her spelling level, put in a group, given a partner to work with, and full directions were stapled into their WTW notebooks.  Your student will come home with a new collection of words every Monday.  Please help your child to study these words all week as a short quiz will be given on Friday.

In Social Studies- We will be having a social studies test on Wednesday, September 30.  Please reread the material found on pages 38- 43 and 68-71 in the textbook. Go over all vocabulary words in those two lessons as well.  The students and I will be practicing for the test in class on Tuesday.  We'll make it fun and informative by using our "eggspert" game system.
