**Journal for the week of 6/4/12-6/8/12: Choose ANY question to answer that
you want.**
Multiplication and division time is here! Each week your child will be
assigned a certain fact family to study, and there will be a quiz at the end
of the week. Please check your child’s agenda (or my website) to see which
fact family to study. They are responsible for knowing all the multiplication
and division facts up to 12. You can study using flashcards, a deck of
cards, pencil and paper, or a game. Studying a few facts a night is a good
strategy so that it is not overwhelming. Thank you for your support.
Students should be reading at least twenty minutes every night. Make sure
that you are discussing the book and getting the weekly reading calendars
signed. Reading calendars will be collected and scored every Friday. Reading
logs can be found on the handouts section of this site.
Journals are due on your assigned due day #1-6 Tuesday: Prathmann,Sarah,
Christine, Yousaf,Carley, Matthew F. #7-13 Wednesday: Mary, Nicholas, Hannah,
Kristina,Eunice, Mihir,Emily #14-20 Thursday: Dina, Jessica, Chinmay, Andrew,
Marina, Sarai, Justin #21-23 Friday: Shahvez, Alex,Matthew T.
Use your questions sheet to find the journal questions you can use. You
should be picking 1 question from the assigned topic (another copy of these
questions can be found on the handouts page of this site). You should pick
one question from the assigned topic. Using the book that you are reading
you will answer that question. The answer should be at least 5 sentences
long...a topic (opening sentence), 3 details related to the question, and a
closing sentence. The checklist taped in front of the folder should be of
best help as it is a great way to see if you have all or most of the
requirements. (This is to be done in the blue ILA folder.)
