Hello. My name is Mrs. Gina Mercoli. I am thrilled to be your child's second
grade teacher this year! I am a mother of two wonderful children. My son
Matthew is 9 years old and my daughter, Faith is almost 5 years old. I have
been teaching for 13 years. I started teaching dance class to 3-8 year olds,
many years ago. I then taught Math, Science and Reading to 2nd, 3rd and 4th
graders at a local charter school. Since graduating from Rowan University, I
have taught all subjects to 5th graders, Health and Phys. Ed. to 5th - 8th
graders and Reading, Writing and Social Studies to 5th and
6th graders. This 2011-2012 school year, will be my fourth year teaching 2nd
grade here at Mennies! I am very excited and look forward to
the many exciting lessons and activities planned.
I will create an exciting, stimulating and rigorous academic classroom for
my students. They will look forward to school and always be inspired to
learn and grow each day. My plan is to make every child smile, feel
accepted,important, safe and cared for while meeting the standards of each
curriculum. My students will learn and practice character building traits in
order to feel good about themselves and practice "The Golden Rule", treating
others how they wish to be treated.
