Compiled as a joint project between Education World and Barnes and Noble, 
this site lists book recommendations by grade level for kindergarten through 
eighth grade.

Actually a site designed for teachers, this is also is a great place for 
parents to find ideas for summer reading � for themselves and for their 
children! On the home page, click on the word �summer� and then click 
on �summer reading lists� under the Language Arts heading.  The site also 
offers printable activity sheets to accompany featured books.

THE HORN BOOK'S READING LISTS
The Horn Book, a classic source for reviews of children�s literature, has 
compiled a list of recommended books for children aged 7-14. Click on the

AMERICAN LIBRARY ASSOCIATION'S SUMMER READING LISTS FOR CHILDREN
One key to children's reading success is making their reading experience 
entertaining, relaxing, and enjoyable. The American Library Association 
recommends that children choose their own reading materials and be aware of 
what their reading interests are. Parents are encouraged to help them find 
books that pique their interests. Follow the link to many reading lists that 
identify high-quality titles and serve many different young audiences and
