Mr. Cannici, a former Midland School student and former resident of Rochelle
Park, began his professional career in 1996, teaching seventh and eighth
grade Social Studies at Christopher Columbus Middle School in Clifton, NJ.
The folllowing year, he came back to Midland School, accepting a job as a
fifth grade teacher. It is a job he has been doing happily for 15 years.
"Mr. C" received his Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education from Seton
Hall University in 1996. In the Spring of 2002, he earned his Master of
Education degree from Montclair State University.
In April of 2008, Mr. Cannici published his first novel for young readers
called "Finding 1492". The book received a very enthusiastic response from
young and experienced readers alike.
Currently, Mr. Cannici is pursuing a Master's Degree in Educational
Leadership at Montclair State University.
When he is not reading or writing, Mr.C is involved with his favorite sport,
baseball. He is the Head Coach of the Midland School baseball team, and he
also plays ball for the Union Knights of the MABL. Off the field, Mr. C
roots for his beloved Yankees!
Mr. Cannici is married, and has three children.
