This is my 13th year teaching at Midland. I taught fifth grade for
2 years, second grade for 5 years, and I am going into my sixth year
teaching math for grades 6 through 8. This year's eighth grade class will be
the last second grade class I had. I am looking forward to having these
stuents again.
I have a Master's Degree in Educational Technology. I am married and have a
little boy named Brian. I love teaching. I enjoy running, going to the
beach, reading, and spending time with my family.
Regardless of how you've performed previously in math, this year is a
brand new start. You can succeed in my class if you come prepared, give me
your full attention during class, do your homework everynight, ask questions
when you don't understand something, and study for quizzes and tests.
My mission is to be here for you as your teacher and your guide. I
will do whatever I can to make you understand the material I teach, do well
in this class, and become a responsible, diligent, and successful student.
I want you to enjoy being in my class and perform the best you can. I will
be with you every step of the way as you cultivate your math skills and
learn the many ways that math is used in everyday life.
I will be fair and respectful to each of you, and I expect the same in
return. I will not tolerate anything less. My door is always open to you,
so please come to see me whenever you need to, especially as soon as you
are confused! I am looking forward to working with some of my previous
students again and getting to know those of you who I have never had.
