About The Teacher

I have a Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education and a Bachelor of Arts in
Psychology from Felician College. I am a certified Elementary School
Teacher. This year is my 21st year of teaching. For the past 16 years it
has been my pleasure to be part of the OLC family both as the Preschool Four
teacher and presently one of the First Grade teachers. I treasure the
special memories created with each class and keep them close to my heart.
Seeing my students grow each year brings great joy and I am so glad to be a
part of that.

Here at OLC I have served on many teams and committees and have had many
roles as coordinator or chairperson. I have been an executive committee
member of the Organization of Parents and Educators since it has begun,
teacher chairperson for the Strategic Planning Board of OLC, and the
Chairperson of the Middle States Committee to name a few. Recently, I was
honored to be part of an evaluating Middle States Team. It is rewarding to
be chosen to assess and help another school reach their goals for academic
excellence.

As for me, I live in Toms River (down the shore!) I have a wonderful home near
sun and sand. I LOVE Ladybugs and reading Junie B. Jones. (sometimes I even
think I am her!)
Here's to a great year learning together!

Mission For The Class

My philosophy of Education is to create a classroom where each student is
encouraged to grow as an intellectual, independent and moral person.
In developing these attitudes, each student’s potential, giftedness, special
abilities, interests, and pace for learning will be considered.
I will provide a challenging curriculum that encourages them to become a
lifelong learner and a responsible and caring citizen.
It is important for me to provide an environment that is safe, fair, and
consistent with rules and expectations. This will ensure my students know
what is expected and shows respect for their presence and time.
Some elements of great importance to me will be to help my students develop a
deep love and respect for themselves, others and their environment. I always
encourage this learning through messages of community, service and love for
God and all his creations.

Our Class Mission Statement

To listen, love, laugh and learn life lessons that light our lives.
