About The Teachers

WELCOME TO KINDERGARTEN! I am so happy to have your child in my
class this year. Together, we will make your child's school year exciting,
challenging and most of all.....FUN!!!

My name is Anita Idica and this is my 21th year at the OLC-LHA
School teaching Kindergaretn. I received my Bachelor Degree in Elementary
Education and Master's Degree in the Philippines. I am certified in both
Elementary Education and Montesorri in Early Education. My professional
education and all of my teaching experience has taught me a lot about
children.

I love teaching at The OLC-LHA School. It is a GREAT school to be a
part of. I love children and enjoy my job to the fullest. I look forward to
to going to work each day and spending time teaching children. The educati
on of children is very important to me and I spend a great time researching
new strategies and coming up with new, fun , and creative ways to help the
children learn.

I embrace the philosophy that students are individuals with unique
learning styles. It is my responsibility to enhance and nurture these
emerging traits. The simple joy of kindergarten is at the heart of why I
choose to teach. Seeing the pride in your children's eyes as they develop
independence, helping them to learn to work cooperatively and develop
friendship, teaching them about the power of written word or the magic
in their imagination. These are some of the joys that I to share with your
children.

My goal this year is to help them to achieve excellence and success
through the development of each child's self-worth. I will use the tools of
a balance literacy and math program and a positive room environmentto
accomplish this. I am very excited to be teaching the kindergarten class.

I myself am constantly learning new practices and am always looking for
ways to help my students discover new things. I attend many different
workshops to enhance my current practices. I love to be able to learn from
my fellow colleagues and this is a great way to network with other teachers.
I find great joy in learning and this my main goal of being a teacher... to
instill a great love of learning.
