You will need the following for our World History & Cultures class: 1) A 3-ring binder (1/2- or 1-inch size with a flexible cover is fine). This binder is strictly for social studies. The binder should be divided into 4 sections. The sections are to be labeled: Reference Handouts Notes Graded Work 2) A folder with pockets. You will keep this in the front of your binder; it should be 3-hole punched. 3) Lined 3-hole punched paper, which you will use for taking notes. Always keep some blank sheets of lined paper in the Notes section of your binder. 4) A blue or black ink pen, a sharpened pencil with eraser, and a highlighter. 5) A small set of colored pencils (you may keep these at home). 6) A jumbo size book sox or a sturdy paper bag to cover your textbook. 7) Your enthusiasm and a willingness to learn! Also, if your family would like to contribute a box of tissues to the classroom, it would be greatly appreciated! Our school supply is limited. Every day you should bring the following to class: your agenda book (which you will receive the first day of school); your social studies binder (containing the folder and lined paper); a pen, highlighter, and sharpened pencil; and -- most important -- your enthusiasm! Please be sure to write your name and homeroom teacher on the first page of your agenda book and both your name and mine in your binder. I look forward to meeting you as we embark on a successful academic year. See you on September 10!
