What if I forget what my homework assignment is?
Make sure you write down the assignment at the beginning of each
class. If you do forget what the assignment is, see me after
school, check the class website, or make sure you have a friend
from class that you can call.
What if I am absent?
You are responsible for making up all missed work when you are
absent. If you are absent the day something is due, you must hand
it in the day you return to school (whether you have class or
not). If you are absent when something is assigned, check the
website or speak to me about making it up. All work is expected
to be turned in the day after you return to school unless other
arrangements have been made. It is your responsibility to find
out what you have missed and to hand things in on time.
Can I hand in work late?
Homework assignments will be accepted one day after the due date
(not during the next class period)for half credit; after that it
will be marked as a zero. All labs and projects will receive a
10% deduction (letter grade) for each day late. All late work
should be placed in the folder with my name on it at the front of
room 327. It is your responsibility to make sure that late
assignments are handed in on time.
What if I need extra help?
I am available every day after school for help. Tuesday through
Friday I am only available until 3:05; Mondays I am available to
stay later. I am available most mornings and during lunch by
appointment only.
What will I be graded on?
Everyone learns differently, so your grade will be based on many
different things including: projects, oral presentations, labs,
homework assignments, writing assignments, class activities and
class participation in addition to traditional tests and quizzes.
What else do I need to know about Miss Finck's class?
