I didn't always want to be a teacher, but now that I am I couldn't
imagine doing anything else. In college, I majored in animal science and
had planned to go on to vet school, but I eventually realized that being a
veterinarian was not what I really wanted to do. It took some time to
figure it out, but my love of science and kids made teaching a natural
choice.
I have a broad background in biology. In addition to my traditional
classes, I have studied livestock management in New Zealand, wildlife
conservation and African mammal behavior on safari in Tanzania, and
biodiversity while backpacking through the United States. These are
experiences that helped strengthen my love of biology, and I love sharing
stories with my students.
This is my fifth year here at RBR, and I couldn't be happier to be
here!
My mission is to make sure that all of my students are working to the best
of their abilities. I also hope to instill a sense of fun in each class
that I teach!
