How long should homework take?

Homework is given to reinforce skills taught during the school
day. There should never be an instance when you child tells you
that the homework is new material. If he/she is having
difficulty, please contact me. Perhaps they need further
direction or instruction.

Generally, homework assignments should take no longer that 20
minutes. In addition your child should be reading every night.
Consistent practice with reading will make reading easier for
your child, and will encourage a lifelong love of reading.

What can I do for my child's birthday?

You may send treats for the entire class when your child
celebrates his or her birthday. Please just send a note at least
two days in advance.

Invitations may not be passed out at school unless each classmate
is invited or unless boys send invitations to all the boys or
girls send to all the
girls.
