STAMP is an online test designed to find out what students can do with a
foreign language. In Riverdale School our eighth graders take the STAMP
test in late May or early June. They are assessed in the areas of reading
and speaking. The reading test measures how well a student comprehends texts
written by native speakers, and the speaking test measures how well a student
can speak about everyday situations.
We prepare for the STAMP test during the third period cycle classes.
Some eighth graders have this during the third marking period, and some have
it during the fourth marking period. We will be using a program called
Classpak to help us prepare. This program provides us with sample test items.
Besides practicing during cycle class, students may also continue to practice
on their own online. In order to do this independently, students need to do
the following. In cycle class I will provide you with the information to
accomplish this.
Log on to http://www.classpak.net.
Fill in the desired test code. These will be listed below.
Fill in the Student Login ID. Students receive this ID number in cycle
class.
Students who would like to practice by taking the practice test for the STAMP
test can also go to www.stamptest.net to do so.
