**Family activities to try:
- While you are at home or out enjoying family time, ask your child to point out and say the names of objects that begin with the /th/ sounds.
- Have your child use magnetic letters on the refrigerator to build words.
- Let your child teach you one of the games we play in class (Words Around the Room, Snowball Toss, Rhyming and much more!)
Math counts everyday! We will be making a class graph of our favorite type of day (sunny, snowy, rainy, etc.) We will compare most, least, equal to. We will then use tally marks to record results. "4 stand tall, the 5th one takes a fall!" We continue to work with numbers, counting aloud, and shapes. Please look for shapes at home or around the neighborhood. (Circles, squares, and triangles can be found in buildings, homes, and more!)
In math we are learning 3 dimensional shapes:
sphere, cube, cylinder, cone, pyramid, and rectangular prism.
We will begin subtraction this week!
We continue to practice addition using our "number grid."
Kindergarten...keep up the great work!
Love,
Miss Fagan
