Let me share a little about myself with you. I was born in Slovakia, and
came here and entered fourth grade not speaking any English. Having that
experience has made me more understanding towards being an "outsider". I
think that this has instilled in me the need to create a classroom that is a
safe haven for all of the children. This is my sixth year teaching
kindergarten, and nothing makes me prouder than to see children treating each
other with kindness and respect.
