May Update:
We are very excited that our NJASK is over and completed with much success!
In reading, we will continue to apply all our reading comprehension strategies through the use of our "Just Right" books, as well as start a class read aloud of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory! (one of my favorites.) Look for some fun creative projects coming up.
In writing, we will apply all we have learned in addition to a new genre of persuasive writting, and tie it to our class reading of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. We will continue with writing responses in our journal's as well as conduct a research project on our future occupations. We will do some creative writing in addition to working on proper cursive techniques.
In math, we are moving ahead to further developing the ideas of weight, volume, capacity and measurements, as well as looking at rate problems to become better comparison shoppers!
In science, we will continue to devlope our concepts of matter, forces and motion through some fun "hands on" labs.
