Robust vocabulary
1.  deliberately- If you move slowly and carefully, you move deliberately.
2.  composed-  If you made up a song, you composed it.
3.  gratitude- If you thank someone for something, you are showing gratitude.
4.  compassion- If you are kind to someone who needs help, you are showing 
compassion.
5.  swift- Something that is swift moves very quickly.
6.  vain-  If you are vain, you think very highly of yourself.
7.  overheard- If you overheard what people said, you heard it without them 
knowing that you were listening.
8.  suggested- If you suggested something, you gave someone an idea.
9.  enormous- Something that is enormous is very big.
10. exclaimed- If you exclaimed something, you said it excitedly.

Reading
This lesson's story, "Half-Chicken", is a folktale written by Ama Flor Ada.
A folktale is a story that has been passed down through time.  It may give an 
explanation of how something came to be and the theme teaches a lesson.  The 
paired selection is a poem titled, "I Sailed on Half a Ship". by Jack 
Prelutsky.

Grammar
Action Verbs
*  An actin verb is a word that tells what someone or something does.
*  A verb must agree in number with its subject.
*  A singular subject takes a singular verb form.
*  A plural or compound subject takes a plural verb form.
