Homework is assigned Monday through Thursday. Homework is very important
because it reinforces what we learned in class that day, and it also allows
everyone at home to know what we are working on in class. I ask that you
please sign or initial your child's homework every night so I know you have
seen it!
Math/Phonics and Spelling are assigned every night.
Spelling homework:
Day 1: Write each word 4x each
Day 2: ABC order
Day 3: Use the first five words in a sentence
Day 4: Use the next five words in a sentence
NO Spelling Homework on Test days!
Spelling packets are sent home on the first day the words are
introduced, and you tear off the worksheets as they are assigned. This way
your child has all of their spelling homework for the entire lesson and can
work on them as they please. Please do not hand in worksheets before they are
assigned. Please check the "Daily Homework Sheet" to see which spelling
assignment is due the next day.
All homework assignments will be placed in their Arleth folder on
the "Return" side. My students are responsible for their work. They must
check to make sure that their homework is in their folder before they leave
to go home, and before they come to school the next day. Please check your
child's folder every night!
