WEEK OF February, 6, 2012
In math we are working on chapter 7, division and will have a division quiz on Monday, February 6th. We
will begin working on chapter 9 this week, which is 2 digit by 1 digit multiplication with and without
regrouping. We will have timed multiplication quizzes every Monday, Wednesday and Friday. Students
should study all of their facts daily in order to help them earn their multiplication license.
We are working on lesson 11 in reading. We will have our test on Wednesday, February 8th. Please study
the vocabulary words found in your child's literacy binder.
READING LOGS! Please have your children read every night for 15-20minutes and complete the daily log,
which is due every Monday. Final grades will be affected if the children do not complete these logs every
night.

Also, please visit the site www.studyisland.com and practice reading, math and writing skills with your
child. I did send home usernames and passwords to all students. This is great practice to keep the
children's minds thinking over the winter break!
