Next week's story, Lesson 27, Gabriella Mistral is now on-line at Think Central along with the Vocabulary Powerpoint on this webpage. 

As was discussed at the last Parent/Teacher Conference, you may have noticed your child's Reading grades have dropped since this is no longer a review of first grade material.  Please take advantage of the weekly stories posted on line.  The more your child reads, the better he/she will be with comprehension.  Your child's ThinkCentral password and user ID number is the same number.  You can get onto ThinkCentral's site from our links page here.  If you have misplaced it, send me a note and I'll be happy to send it home with your child again. 

In addition, please have your child spend an extra 5-10 minutes each night on the website Xtramath.org.  The students that are using this site are showing marked improvements in their basic math skills.  Again, if you have misplaced your child's password, let me know.
