| This month we will be working on analyzing a character's traits and
motivations. In other words, what kind of person the character is (kind,
selfish, etc.) and why they act that way. We are reading two stories about
young women who are confident and determined to accomplish a task usually
done by men.
We have been working on our writing a bit. We tried writing a personal
narrative about an event in our lives. The students got to choose between a
happy, sad, scary or embarassing event. We are finishing up adding details
and polishing our writing.
With Halloween approaching we will dip our Writer's pens into Haunted House
tales. It should be a creepy treat!
