What if my child forgets his/her book(s) the day he/she has library?
If your child forgets his/her book(s) the day he/she has library,
he/she
will not be able to check out a new book until the book is
returned.
Does my child have to pay a late fee if a book is not returned on time?
Although we do not charge late fees, his/her class will not
receive a
sticker for the week. In order for a class to earn a sticker,
they must
have a 100% book return rate. At the end of each marking period,
the class
that has the most stickers wins a prize.
Why must my child memorize his/her student ID number for book check-out?
Students' ID numbers are located on their lunch cards. Using a
student's ID
number for book check-out is the most accurate way to ensure that
the books
are being borrowed under the proper student's name/library
account. Also,
this ID number most likely will be the same throughout a
student's entire
school career. Therefore, learning it at an early age will only
make life
easier for him/her as he/she graduates to the upper grades.
What is your policy on lost or damaged books?
If a book is lost or damaged beyond repair, the student is
responsible for
paying the full price, according to our records, to replace the
book.
Can I send my child in with a copy of the same book as a replacement?
No.
Do you accept checks for book replacement fees?
Cash is preferred.
Do you accept donated books?
Donated books are greatly appreciated! However, please ensure
that all books
are brand new.
Can I receive a receipt for a tax deduction if I make a donation?
We do not provide receipts for donated books for tax deduction
purposes.
