If you are interested in publishing your writing or 
illustrations, check out Launch Pad. There's no charge to submit, 
and anyone whose work is featured will get a free year's 
subscription. Editor/publisher Paul Kelsey is accepting fiction, 
nonfiction, poetry, book reviews, and artwork by children ages 6-
12.  "We encourage children to submit a few illustrations with 
their written work," he says, "but this is not a requirement. 
Launch Pad is currently looking for creative work around the 
following themes: animals, the Ocean, fairy tales and fantasy, 
heroes, mysteries, and sports. You'll find information about this

This is where you can access your reading textbook and workbooks 
on-line. Click the link below.  Select "Reading/Language Arts" on 
the left side of your screen, then click on "Storytown."  Select 
our state, district, and school...be sure to check "Remember my 
organization" so you don't have to do this everytime.  Enter your 
username and password - you should enter your student number for 
each of these.  Enjoy!
